THE university of Zululand is to be shut down today (Thursday) by protest action, announced the SA Students Congress (Sasco), Wednesday.
SASCO secretary-general Lazola Ndamase told the press they will engage in protest action demanding free education at nine universities across the country, including Unizulu. He said it will culminate in 1000 students marching to national parliament on Friday.
Ndamase said thousands of students have been refused entry to institutions of higher education either because they owe fees to these institutions or were unable to pay registration fees.

sandile had this to say about the article:

Dear Editor,I would be very greatful if the University of Zululand can be shutted down,Because I´m one of those students who are suffering daily with negetive feedbacks from the disorganised management of this corrupt university and my request is that I would be great ful again if the Government can change this CHEME(NSFAS) into a non corrupt with uncorrupted officials.
