A JOHANNESBURG woman was found with signs of strangulation at Pipeline in Amanzimtoti on Monday morning and she is recovering in hospital.
According to a police spokesperson a man walking his dog found an unconscious Glenne Jeffrey (57) lying near the beach at Pipeline. He also found that all her possessions were still near her as was her car. He found her cell phone but it was switched off so he left her there and went back to his own home to phone for help from there.
According to a friend Glenne suffers from depression and is on medication for it. She left Johannesburg last week telling everyone she needs to get away for a while and was going to the South Coast. The friend thinks she spent the weekend at a bed and breakfast and she booked out on Sunday morning.

The police spokesperson says they are investigating the case. Glenne regained consciousness midmorning on Tuesday. There is some damage to her vocal cords and the police will interview her as soon as she can talk again.
